Well it has indeed been a very cold winter! But the sun has been out for several days in a row now, the willows and dogwoods are standing out bright against the bare branches of the other trees on the roadsides and woods and there are even patches of grass here and there.  The nights are still cold and those familiar with life in the north know that that means the sap will be running very soon!

We’ve got the sugarin’ taps, buckets, cooker, hoses etc. clean and ready to go. Time to tap a couple test trees and clear the calendar to be ready to start boiling. You should come and help us collect this years maple syrup! But be quick. The sap will only run end of March, beginning of April, and mother nature is in charge…when it’s done, it’s done.

If you’re here and the sap is running we invite you to be as involved in the process as you’d like…transfering sap, boiling, bottling…and then even taking a bottle of your maple syrup home with you.

If you won’t be able to make it for syrup production maybe you’ll be able to join us later in the spring and summer for fishing, golfing or exploring the numerous area bike trails. We added new packages (on-site massages, golf…) to our site and the local communities are adding new events to their calendars almost daily.  Don’t wait too long to book your reservations.

As always, we look forward to meeting you!
